    google is not the word. it is googol which means one followed by a hundred zeroes. googolplex is a number followed by a googol of zeroes. and google has its name because of the misspelled name on its cheque, actually it wanted to have the name googol but the cashier wrote google on cheque because of which the name we have now for the search engine.
